Jisho Touch 1.5 Alive

Jisho Touch 1.5 is alive and well on the AppStore. It took a lot longer to get it approved and resubmitted but it’s finally there. I’m working on another point release of Jisho (for Mac) fixing a few bugs and updating the database. Be on the lookout sometime this next week.

Jisho Touch 1.5

Since I’ve been back in Japan I’ve found myself using Jisho Touch a lot more than I was during the states. Something that I had become an annoyance was being unable to bookmark words. The problem came in trying to figure out the right, intuitive way to do it. Some of the solutions I had [...]

Jisho Touch 1.3 Submitted

I’ve submitted Jisho Touch 1.3 to the AppStore earlier today. In this release I focused on cleaning up the interface and tried to focus on clarity of information and making things a bit easier to use. For instance, first thing on start up the search button bar appears immediately, removing the need for a touch [...]

Jisho Tips and Tricks: Improve Accuracy for Verbs

A lot of verbs in JMDict are prefixed with “to” before them. This means if you search for the “run”, you get a lot of nouns for run. If you are looking for a verb and not having much luck finding exactly the word you are looking for, try adding “to ” to the front [...]
