Jisho Available on the Mac App Store

I’m glad that I can finally announce that Jisho is available on the Mac App Store.

It took a few tries to get it right (as followers of @sugoijisho already know) and make it past the review team, but so far I think it was worth it. You know what they say, third time’s a charm.

A quick note for existing customers as well. If you have already purchased Jisho 4 directly from me and view Jisho on the Mac App Store, it will not appear as installed. This is because of how the App Store determines if an App is installed or not.

Existing users of Jisho 4, Jisho will download future updates the application like they always have, by clicking Jisho -> Check for updates. If you’d like to update Jisho with the rest of the applications you’ve purchased on the Mac App Store, you will need to purchase Jisho via the App Store.

If you’ve been holding off on upgrading to Jisho 4, now’s the perfect opportunity to get Jisho 4 via the Mac App Store.
