Hey folks.
Thanks for all the great feedback and support that has been pouring in about Jisho 2.2.
We are always aiming to improve Jisho and to help us do this we need your help and feedback. To help get your feedback on how and why you use Jisho we have created a quick survey. Please spend 2 minutes filling in the survey as it will help us with future features.
If helping us improve Jisho isn’t reason enough to fill in the survey, we are also offering anybody who fills in the survey 15% off Jisho.
What are you waiting for? Take the survey!
As the post below notes, I have released Jisho 2.2. This release I believe really solidifies recently added features and greatly improves the utility of Jisho. Here is a quick run-down of all the changes made with the 2.2 release:
Added:
- Improved Zooming - now allowing infinite zooming of kanji and splash screen
- Sort all results
- Searches done via Jisho Service added to Search History
- Updated Japanese localization
- Customizable Toolbar
Fixed:
- Splash screen disappearing on backspace
- Updated eSellerate - no longer puts ews.framework in the trash of some users
- Resizing contents now act as expected
Updated:
- New Leopard 512×512 application icon
- New DMG Background (courtesy of frozensheep)
So far the reactions to Jisho 2.2 seem to quite positive. By far my favourite was what a user’s daughter said when she first used Jisho, as part of testing on 10.4. She said, “あっ便利!すごい!そんなこともできる!”, which translates something to the effect of “Ah! Jisho is convenient! Incredible! It can also do things such as this…” (with the lack of a subject, I assume it is referring to housing more than just English within Jisho). Of course it could also be refering to any number of Jisho’s features.
If you haven’t given Jisho a try yet, please give it a whirl by downloading or purchasing it today!
