Autumn is in full swing in Japan now and it is incredible wherever you see trees. Lately it has gotten quite cold, especially for someone coming from Texas. Though on the upside, it perfect weather for staying inside (after admiring the beauty of course) and working on Jisho.
With that said, Jisho 2.2 is in being tested right now and hopefully we will have a new release ready to go in the not too distant future.
The major feature of this release is something that I felt Jisho needed - an expansion of the zooming functionality. I personally have been using this when learning to write kanji for class to maybe zoom a bit into the parts that are a bit difficult to see, and find it quite useful. With this, you can zoom in as much or as little as you want.
With that, I give you a preview-demo video.
There is a neat website out there called iusethis.com and the idea behind it is to allow the rank of applications based upon the number of users that use an application. Before the release of Jisho 2.1 in September, the total number of users for Jisho on iusethis.com was about 5. At the time of this writing the standing is 15. A 3 fold increase. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised.
If you use Jisho, why not sign up for an account (its quick, free, painless, and spam free) at iusethis and add Jisho?
If you don’t use Jisho, please download or visit our webstore and purchase Jisho today!
