After eagerly awaiting Mac OS X Leopard since its announcement, I am happy to say and confirm that Jisho continues to run like a dream on Leopard.
If you haven’t given Jisho a try yet, download it and give it a go.

Using Quicksilver’s proxy objects you can now search Jisho at the click of a button.
Installing Proxy Objects
After you have downloaded and installed Quicksilver you will need to “enable advanced features” within the preference menu.
Having done this move across to the “Catalog” tab within the preference menu and enable the “Proxy Objects“, “Internal Command” and “Internal Objects” items.

Finally, to gain access to the Jisho service you need to install the “Services Menu Module” within the plug-in preference tab.
Performing the Search
Now all you need to do is select any text that you want Jisho to translate, activate the “Current Selection” proxy object and then “Look Up in Jisho“.

And ta-da, Jisho will open and display your search result!
Of course you also need to download and install Jisho as well.
As a student of Japanese myself, I find that it helps me remember kanji meanings and readings if I integrate Japanese usage into OS X. An example of this is my bookmarks bar in Safari. Previously - the groupings of my bookmarks bar were in my native tongue - English. I figured I could perhaps save some space and improve my reading a bit by changing their name to Japanese.
For the words that I didn’t know in Japanese, I looked them up using Jisho’s integration with OS X by merely highlighting the word, and pressing cmd-shift-J.

There you can see the saved space brought to you with the help of Safari.
From its humble beginnings 2 years ago, Jisho has come a long way.
It has grown from a small child into a teenager and has matured greatly in its lifetime, but there it’s still a long way off becoming a full adult and all your comments and feedback helps to us to turn Jisho into the best adult application it an possibly be.
